Marketing Strategy and Promotional Mix (Essay Sample) Content: Marketing Strategy and Promotional MixNameInstitutionMarketing Strategy and Promotional MixA marketing strategy is an approach of an organization or company that merges all of its objectives into one focused plan. It should provide the best product mix as well as maximize profits. The promotional mix the employed way of marketing or advertising a product. This may include direct selling, online advertising, sales promotion and public relations. Recently, I purchased an interlocking brick making machine from a certain company and this is what I say about their marketing strategy. An interlocking brick making machine is used to compress a mixture of red soil and cement in order to get a brick for building directly. The promotional mix used were actually direct marketing where customers were being persuaded directly outdoors, personal selling where agents of the company sold the products one-one with customers and lastly they used advertising by using brochures and banner s. I myself purchased it after looking at their brochures. The marketing strategy here wasnt that bad but there should be more creativity and modern approaches brought in the system so that the profits from the sales are kept on the rise. The company should make use of the internet and social media where a larger audience is found. It should advertise their products online and even go to an extent of building their own website. This will be cheaper in terms of labor used and time used in personal selling. Sales promotion through the media, trade shows and exhibitions has to be used. Public relations should also be used widely as the public is in demand of it though they lack where to purchase it.In conclusion, marketing strategy and promotional mix are approaches used by organizations to achieve their goals. The more the promotional mix used the more the realization of profits. Embracing internet technology and social sites is now being seen as an emerging trend in marketing.
